Laundry Equipment Operator Job Description

At Tucson Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled Laundry Equipment Operator to join our team. As a Laundry Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for loading, operating, and monitoring power equipment for washing and drying linens and other laundry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and operate laundry equipment to ensure efficient and effective washing and drying of linens and other laundry.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any issues or malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
  • Sort and prioritize laundry according to type, condition, and weight.
  • Deliver linens to user departments according to pre-established par levels and schedules.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • No prior experience or training required.
  • Tug operator's certification required for those responsible for driving and operating a tug.
Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position with rotating shifts. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift and move heavy laundry equipment and supplies.
