Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a Veterinary Technician, your daily tasks will include:

  • Placement of intravenous catheters and performing venipuncture
  • Administering medications via various routes (IV, SQ, Oral)
  • Assisting in radiographic imaging procedures
  • Conducting diagnostic tests on blood, urine, and fecal samples
  • Caring for hospitalized animals
  • Engaging in client communication and education
  • Managing the admission and discharge processes for patients
Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree from an American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) accredited program is preferred, though not mandatory
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a veterinary technician
