Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3rd Year Line Worker-CDL to join our team at Arkansas Electric. As a key member of our construction department, you will be responsible for assisting senior linemen and crew foremen in installing and maintaining electrical infrastructure across the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation of poles, conductors, transformers, meters, and hardware on energized or de-energized lines, adhering to specifications and customer requirements.
  • Operate bucket trucks, digger-derricks, and other equipment as required by the foreman, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance on crew vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with other crew members, patron cooperatives, and the general public to promote good relations and a safe working environment.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, handling stress and pressure while maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Ensure jobsites are maintained in a neat and orderly condition, adhering to company standards.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel to various locations throughout the state of Arkansas and stay overnight as required.
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and at excessive heights.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and work outside regular hours when necessary.
  • Working knowledge of REA plans and specifications for distribution and transmission, as well as electric system key location maps.

  • CPR and First Aid training.
