Painter

This position is responsible for applying coatings to steel or wood components per project specifications, utilizing traditional spray techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience with high-quality coatings and be able to maintain detailed records of project progress.

• Apply coatings to steel or wood components per project specifications
• Maintain detailed records of project progress, including mil readings, paint consumption, and ambient environment readings
• Perform preventative maintenance on spray guns
• Take direction from Supervisor as needed for specific products
• Coordinate projects based on project requirements and time restrictions
• Follow all safety standards and procedures
• Work independently and be a self-motivator
• Able to work within timelines
• Maintain a clean workplace
• Communicate with various departments for project direction
• Contribute to quality control of projects

• Knowledge of industrial and automobile paint coatings
• Experience with HVLP and/or conventional paint sprayers
• Experience with Pot-Guns
• Working knowledge of computers required for necessary tasks
• Experience with 2K Mix System
• Knowledge of two-component Siloxane products and Epoxy
• 3-5 years paint spraying experience
• Experience with airless pump preferred
• Ability to lift more than 50 lbs
• Flexible schedule required for additional hours
• Ability to clean and maintain equipment at the end of each shift
