Responsibilities- Administrative Duties: Manage medical clinic and office supplies, schedule patients, and assist staff with utensil counting.
- Clinical Duties: Administer basic life support in emergencies, safely utilize medical equipment, perform intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections, and conduct eye and ear washes.
- Medical Support: Provide basic breathing treatments, remove casts, splints, sutures, and external medical devices, and change simple dressings.
- Lab and Testing: Collect blood via capillary and venipuncture methods, gather lab specimens with proper equipment and labeling, and conduct basic vision tests when required.
- Communication: Explain treatment procedures and medical instructions to patients and staff, identify patients with disabilities for appropriate accommodations, and safeguard patients' personal belongings securely.
- Active Medical Assistant Certificate from a California Department of Consumer Affairs-approved agency for MA practice.
- At least 12 consecutive months of performing similar services within the last 3 years.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (with AED).
- Must be proficient in the English Language (Speaking/Writing).
- Must be certified by one of the following boards: AAMA / AMT /CCBMA and AMCA.
This position is located in Blythe, California, and requires a 27-week commitment with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8A-4:30P.
The rate for this position is $960/40-hours.
