Position Overview:
The Assurance Services Manager plays a vital role in managing engagements for assurance clients. This position serves as a key technical resource for engagement teams, ensuring adherence to professional standards and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with partners, team members, and client personnel.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of accounting standards and auditing procedures.
- Plan and execute assurance engagements across diverse industry sectors in line with RubinBrown's Client Service Standards.
- Identify and communicate accounting and assurance-related issues to engagement team members.
- Recognize opportunities for performance enhancement.
- Maintain direct communication with clients.
- Supervise the assurance staff assigned to each engagement.
- Develop and oversee engagement budgets.
- Review client documentation and work papers for accuracy and compliance with firm policies and professional standards, including issues memos and financial statements.
- Assist in organizing and delivering periodic technical training for the department.

Team Development:
- Inspire and earn the respect of subordinates.
- Contribute positively to the firm's recruitment, education, development, and retention initiatives.
- Act as a Mentor, Coach, and/or Career Advocate when assigned.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to team members, supporting the firm's performance management process.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of seven years of relevant experience.
- CPA designation is required.
- Strong supervisory, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Ability to meet demanding client expectations while delivering exceptional service.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research skills.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and assurance services, including practical application of general theory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is essential; familiarity with ProSystems, Engagement fx, or similar paperless audit environments is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Commitment to professional ethics.
- Capacity to contribute to the success of a strategic business unit within the firm.
