Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and evaluate public health programs to promote a safe and healthy environment for our campus community.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to public health and food safety.
  • Training and Education: Provide training and education to campus community members on public health and food safety best practices.
  • Incident Investigation and Response: Investigate and respond to public health and food safety incidents, including communicable disease outbreaks and foodborne illnesses.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with campus departments and external agencies to ensure effective communication and coordination on public health and food safety matters.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Occupational Health, or related field.
  • Experience: 4 years of experience in public health or related field, including experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Licensure: Licensed Registered Sanitarian (RS) in the State of Texas within one year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Public Health or related field.
  • Experience in food safety and epidemiology.
