Experienced Journeyman Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced journeyman carpenter to join our team at Employers Options, a leading technology-enabled workforce solutions company.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with a focus on custom carpentry and specialized finishes. They will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure project specifications are met.

• Build, install, and repair frameworks, partitions, joists, and other wooden structures
• Install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and other finishing materials with precision and attention to detail
• Safely operate hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders, and maintain personal carpentry tools
• Measure and cut materials to the required specifications, ensuring minimal waste, and install various materials, including wood, plywood, drywall, and metal
• Inspect work during and after completion to ensure it meets industry standards and project requirements
• Work closely with other tradespeople, including electricians and plumbers, to ensure the project runs smoothly and on time

• Must own reliable transportation and basic carpentry tools
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, building codes, and safety practices
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints
• Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions
• Effective verbal communication skills for working in a team environment
