Position Summary

PRIMARY ROLE:

The Youth Program Facilitator is responsible for designing and executing engaging programs, overseeing club participants, and assessing activities and outcomes within a designated program area, aligned with our core objectives of Academic Achievement, Healthy Lifestyles, and Positive Character Development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Development
  • Creates a supportive environment that fosters the achievement of Youth Development Goals.
  • Encourages daily learning and participation in national and special event programs.
  • Introduces new members to club activities, safety protocols, and program rules.
  • Provides mentorship and guidance to participants.
Program Management
  • Implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and activities for participants.
  • Develops and shares weekly and monthly program outlines.
  • Ensures safety and quality in programs through regular evaluations.
  • Recognizes participants for their involvement and accomplishments.
  • Keeps accurate records of attendance and participation.
Supervision
  • Maintains discipline and order among club members.
  • Oversees and trains volunteers and program assistants.
  • Contributes to a productive environment by participating in team meetings.
Resource Management
  • Monitors supply needs and orders necessary materials within budgetary constraints.
  • Keeps the supply area organized and tidy.
Facility Management
  • Ensures the program area is appealing, clean, and that all information boards are up to date.
  • Identifies and recommends repairs for facilities and equipment.
Additional Duties
  • Collaborates with team members to deliver high-quality programs, assisting in various capacities as needed.
  • Engages in training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Youth Development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire youth and manage behavioral challenges.
  • Capable of interacting effectively with the public.
  • Skilled in planning and executing educational programs for youth.
  • Adept at organizing and supervising participants in a safe environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
