Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients and deliver care during cardiac and peripheral vascular catheterization procedures
  • Identify and implement nursing interventions and evaluate results for a wide variety of patient populations
  • Circulate or monitor diagnostic and interventional procedures for coronary, carotid, renal, and lower extremity cases
  • Direct and provide guidance to other healthcare team members as needed, promoting compliance and supporting policies
  • Build trust in professional collegial relationships while maintaining a compassionate and professional attitude

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • RN License issued by the State of California
  • BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date
  • Minimum one year of recent acute care RN experience in Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities, and to quickly assess moderately-complex problems to develop potential solutions
  • Must have excellent skills to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and external constituents, both verbally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSN/MSN
  • RCIS, CEN or CCRN certification
  • Three or more years of recent cardiac cath lab RN experience

Working Conditions:

  • On call 3:30pm-7am Monday-Friday 24-hour call both Saturday and Sunday
  • Must be able to wear a lead apron
  • Selected candidate may be hired at the CNIII/ CNIV level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council

Pay and Benefits:

  • Annual Full Pay Range: $170,485 - $170,485 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
  • Hourly Equivalent: $81.65
