Training Instructor

The Training Instructor position is a critical role within the Veterans Health Administration, supporting the Prevention and Management of Disruptive Behavior (PMDB) initiative. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of educational services and training to staff throughout the Hines VA Hospital and associated activities.

• Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Design, develop, and deliver training programs to support the PMDB initiative, including instructor-led training, online courses, and workshops.
• Program Development and Implementation: Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and implement training programs, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization and align with PMDB goals.
• Staff Development and Support: Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in PMDB-related areas.
• Curriculum Development: Develop and maintain curriculum materials, including course outlines, lesson plans, and evaluation tools.
• Training Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders, including staff, managers, and subject matter experts, to ensure training programs meet organizational needs.

• Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, training, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in training, education, or a related field, with a focus on program development and implementation.
• Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and instructional design skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Master's Degree: A master's degree in a related field, such as education, training, or a related field.
• Experience in PMDB: Experience working in the PMDB field, with a focus on training and education.
• Curriculum Development: Experience in curriculum development, including design, development, and implementation.
