Role Overview
The Amazon Accounting team is enhancing customer service and optimizing automation efficiency through the Regional Alteryx Champions (RAC) Program. This initiative empowers accounting team members, nominated by their supervisors, to develop Alteryx automations tailored for their respective teams. The team has acquired Alteryx server licenses to facilitate the automation of simpler, less intricate tasks. Alteryx serves as a self-service data analysis tool, enabling analysts to effortlessly prepare, blend, cleanse, and analyze data through repeatable workflows without the need for programming skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Alteryx workflows created by RACs.
- Conduct Alteryx training sessions and provide support during office hours for RACs.
- Oversee the installation of Alteryx Server on EC2 instances across various environments.
- Design Redshift database schemas for Alteryx and manage the creation of Redshift clusters.
- Integrate Redshift clusters with Datanet jobs and facilitate onboarding processes.
- Promote developed workflows to the Alteryx Server and schedule them on EC2 instances as required.
- Manage user permissions on the Alteryx Server.
- Implement AWS Secrets Manager integration with Alteryx.
- Extract data from diverse sources, including databases, Datanet, SharePoint, and S3 into Alteryx.
- Execute end-to-end disaster recovery processes to restore Alteryx services in case of system failures.
- Maintain the Alteryx server's operational integrity by diagnosing logs and monitoring database and disk space utilization.
- Collaborate with Alteryx and AWS Infra teams to upgrade the Alteryx server version.
- Monitor Alteryx server performance and schedule workflows accordingly.
- Work with AWS Infra and Alteryx teams to enhance server capacity by adding nodes and cores.
- Develop data analytical automation solutions using Alteryx across various environments.
- Demonstrate proficiency in building Alteryx workflows and integrating them with Alteryx Server.
- Migrate Alteryx workflows across development, testing, UAT, and production servers using CLI and migration methodologies.
- Collaborate with Alteryx, Casabase, and AWS Infra teams to install ExoInsight connectors for fetching accounting data from Essbase cubes.
