Key Responsibilities
Position Overview: Family Intervention Specialists are vital in recognizing and addressing personal and relational challenges within families. They provide individual and family counseling, along with case management services, focusing primarily on the family unit while considering various external influences such as educational settings, peer interactions, community involvement, and individual requirements.
- Delivering in-home counseling services for at-risk youth and their families
- Managing a small caseload of four to six families to ensure high-quality counseling
- Conducting regular meetings with youth and families to address their unique needs
- Providing after-hours support by being on-call for assigned caseloads during weekdays and rotating weekends
- Collaborating with youth, family members, educators, and community partners to promote youth success, which may include attending court sessions or meetings with educators based on family needs
- Employing a strengths-based approach that integrates counseling and social work techniques
- Participating in three weekly meetings focused on professional development and skill enhancement
Additional Information
- The work schedule is flexible and tailored to the availability of the youth and families served
- Applicants must have a valid driver's license, a personal vehicle for work, and auto insurance
- Community-based staff will receive mileage reimbursement where applicable
Compensation
$53,000 annually, contingent upon educational background and clinical licensure
