We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Proactive MD’s Artesia, NM clinic. As a champion of our Patient Promise, you will be at the forefront of our clinical operations, assisting our providers and performing various tasks to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Job Summary:
The LPN will be responsible for administrative tasks, including documenting treatments, recording patient information, and maintaining accurate records. You will also assist the Patient Advocate in employee engagement and outreach, and perform basic clerical duties such as answering phones and filing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with and document treatments ordered and supervised by the provider or registered nurse
- Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients’ charts
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients and perform select clinical duties
- Perform basic inventory management of supplies and maintain a clean and orderly environment
Requirements:
- Associates degree and active certification as an LPN or LVN
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association valid for at least 90 days after start date
- Minimum one-year clinical experience as LPN
- Recent experience drawing blood
- Knowledge of HIPAA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to prioritize needs and plan work accordingly
