At Norsk Hydro, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for managing the financial position of our operation.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience leading the financial responsibility of an operating unit, with a strong background in accounting and finance. They will also possess excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with managers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
The Financial Operations Manager will be responsible for successfully completing monthly closing cycles, providing financial analysis support to line managers and plant managers, and directing the planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes of the operation. They will also be responsible for monitoring financial policies, practices, and procedures, and ensuring the necessary internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
In addition, the Financial Operations Manager will direct the activities of the procurement employees, ensuring that all Hydro values are inherent in their daily performance. They will also provide financial and manufacturing analysis of both recurring and ad-hoc nature to management outside of the operation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Successfully completes monthly closing cycles to properly reflect the financial position of the plant.
- Provides financial analysis support to all line managers and plant manager.
- Directs and completes the planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes of the operation.
- Monitors the financial policies, practices, and procedures of the operation.
- Ensures the necessary internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
- Directs the activities of the procurement employees.
- Provides financial and manufacturing analysis of both recurring and ad-hoc nature to management outside of the operation.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading the financial responsibility of an operating unit.
- Minimum of a BS degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing facility.
- Fluency in English.
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing effectively with managers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
