Job Summary

This role supports the mission of the Foothills Area YMCA by leading group exercise classes that promote healthy living and social responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment for participants of all ages and abilities.
  • Develop and lead engaging group exercise classes that align with the YMCA's healthy living program goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to members and program participants.
  • Maintain accurate records of class attendance and participation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest wellness trends and provide effective information and support to members.
Requirements
  • National certification in group fitness instruction (e.g., ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) preferred or YMCA group exercise instructor certification required.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required.
  • Child Abuse Prevention training required within 30 days of hire.
  • At least one year of experience teaching group exercise classes preferred.
