Job Overview

Accountants One is seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing financial expertise to our clients in the real estate industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and cash management reports for assigned properties.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial information, variance reports, and other data to provide insights on property performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Debt Service and Payment Processing: Process debt service, tax, insurance, and capital expense payments, and ensure timely payment of these obligations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets and budgets for new leases and management acquisitions.
  • Liability Management: Track property and insurance liabilities to ensure accurate reflection on property books and timely payment of obligations.
  • Positive Pay Exceptions: Maintain positive pay exceptions and ensure accurate payment processing.
  • 1099 Preparation: Assist in the annual preparation and submission of 1099s.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in real estate accounting or public accounting, with expertise in Yardi or MRI software.
  • Certifications: CPA+ certification.
