Job Summary

This position offers students the opportunity to explore their passion for graphic design, expand their skillset, and increase their knowledge of design programs while marketing and promoting the programs and services of Indiana State University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design marketing materials for campus programs and events, including colleges, admission, and other collaborations.
  • Enhance working knowledge of design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Develop design research, concept building, brainstorming, revision techniques, layout design, proofreading, and assessment of graphical elements.
  • Provide effective and efficient designs for large and small scale digital/print materials under strict deadlines.
  • Incorporate clients' feedback and detailed specifications into all design projects.
  • Brainstorm new design ideas as requested and bring them to execution.
  • Resolve potential project conflicts through problem-solving, suggestions, and alternative ideas.
  • Organize design material and archive projects as they are completed.
  • Work with diverse populations and demonstrate cultural competence.
  • Collaborate and work closely with others to achieve success.
  • Adhere to all University Marketing and brand guidelines.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Field(s) of Study: Graphic Design and/or other related fields of study.
  • Preferred: Graphic Design: previous classwork or job experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the following software/OS: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Windows, Mac.
  • Knowledge of typography, layout design, and image resolution.
  • Ability to generate original and creative content and ideas.
  • Familiarity with marketing and/or social media content generation.
