Senior Prosthetist/Orthotist

A Prosthetist/Orthotist Cert Senior is a highly skilled professional responsible for providing advanced comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic patient care. This includes patient assessment, formulation of a treatment plan, implementation of the treatment plan, follow-up, and practice management.

• Assessment of patients with impairment of human movement or musculoskeletal abnormalities to determine a functional intervention.
• Formulation of a treatment plan based on a comprehensive assessment to design an intervention to alleviate limitations and enhance function.
• Implementation of treatment plans and utilization of follow-up treatment plans to ensure successful orthotic and/or prosthetic outcomes.
• Compliance with practice management plans to develop and document policies and procedures to ensure patient protection.
• Documentation of patient care in accordance with Prisma Health policies and procedures.
• Provides oversight and mentorship for MSPO students and P&O residents.

• Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field with certification and/or master's degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics.
• 5 years of CPO experience.
• Graduation from an NCOPE-approved Orthotic and Prosthetic Program.
• Completion of Residency in both orthotics and prosthetics.
• ABCOP or BOC certified CPO.
• Completion of NCOPE Residency Director Requirements.
