About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Radiation Oncology team at our prestigious facility in Boston, MA.

The ideal candidate will provide professional, competent, and compassionate nursing care to pediatric and adult patients undergoing radiation therapy, while also collaborating with patients and their support systems to meet their individual needs and expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient vital signs and monitor for symptoms of radiation side effects
  • Administer medications, infusions, and provide patient and caregiver teaching
  • Manage the recovery of patients post-radiation treatment, especially when anesthesia is involved
  • Assist in mobilizing patients as needed, including transferring to exam chairs and accommodating patients during procedures
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate patient care with physicians, advanced practice providers, radiation therapists, and medical assistants
  • Use clinical computer applications like Mosaiq and Epic to effectively manage and document patient information
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required
  • Previous experience in caring for pediatric and adult patient populations is preferred
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required
  • Specialty certification is preferred
  • Oncology nursing experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in email and Microsoft applications, including Excel, is required
  • Experience with health information technology, such as Epic, is required
  • Phlebotomy skills are required
  • Basic Life Support Certification is recommended
