We are seeking a skilled CNC machinist and manufacturing expert with a keen attention to detail and strong mechanical skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and programming CNC machinery to produce high-quality components efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior CNC Prototype Machinist, your role will encompass the following:
- Interpreting specifications from blueprints and mechanical drawings to ensure compliance.
- Setting up, programming, and operating CNC Mills and Lathes for both prototype and production runs.
- Conducting tests on machinery to verify outputs against specifications and making necessary adjustments.
- Designing and fabricating fixtures as required.
- Regularly inspecting and maintaining machinery to guarantee optimal performance.
- Overseeing machine operations and implementing adjustments to enhance production quality.
- Inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications and quality standards.
- Adhering to Xometry's quality and safety protocols in all tasks.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist with a minimum of 10 years in the field.
- Expertise in operating and programming CNC machinery, along with proficiency in precision measurement tools.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical documents and drawings.
- Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of CNC programming and CAD/CAM systems.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and strong mathematical skills.
- At least 4 years of programming experience.
- Familiarity with GD&T principles.
- Experience with Haas Mills and Lathes is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Solidworks is a plus.
- Proficiency in MasterCam or NX is required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
