Recycling Operations Specialist

Job Summary

Quad is seeking a full-time Recycling Technician at our Lomira, WI facility. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective recycling process.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the movement of materials to be recycled within the plant using a forklift or tugger.
  • Remove all recyclables from around the plant and deposit them into the recycling system.
  • Operate the bailing and shredding system to process recyclable materials.
  • Separate and store various grades of recyclables for shipment.
  • Load semi-truck trailers and rail cars with recyclable materials.
  • Complete basic forms for billing and service orders.
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
  • Work 12-hour shifts, rotating 3/4 days a week.
Requirements
  • Ability to accurately complete billing and shipping forms.
  • Capacity to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong reading and writing skills, with good verbal and written comprehension.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize job needs.
  • Physical ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
  • Flexibility to work up to 30 hours per week.
  • Ability to climb ladders above 12 feet high with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience operating forklifts or heavy machinery is preferred, but Quad is willing to train the right candidate.
