As a Licensed Practical Nurse-RSW at San Jose Job Corp Center, you will play a vital role in providing medical care and treatment to students. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals and contribute to their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in conducting examinations and physical assessments to identify health concerns and provide appropriate care.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to ensure students receive prescribed medical treatment.
- Administer medication, educate students on proper use, and maintain accurate records.
- Perform routine medical tasks, including vital sign collection and documentation.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Follow infection control procedures and document all procedures and education provided to students.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- An active, unrestricted license to practice as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in the state where the center is located.
- Sound nursing techniques and the ability to relate effectively to students.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as good organizational skills.
- The ability to carry out instructions without constant supervision and maintain CPR certification.
One or more years of nursing experience, with Job Corps experience being highly desirable.
