Job Summary

As a Clinical Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Oregon Health & Science University, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adult patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to adult patients undergoing surgical procedures in the Operating Room
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operating room workflow
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the anesthesiologist and surgeon
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes or complications during the procedure
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current, unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • 2 years of intraoperative experience
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification
