Position Summary: The Quality Inspector role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring accuracy in all tasks while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. A meticulous and adaptable approach is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process orders by interpreting pick tickets, labeling, and completing necessary documentation to meet turnaround targets.
  • Package orders according to company guidelines or specific client requirements.
  • Conduct cycle counting, manage inventory control, and oversee vendor-managed inventory.
  • Receive shipments, verify quantities, and review receiving documentation.
  • Relocate inspected items as per company procedures.
  • Order and replenish necessary supplies.
  • Utilize barcode scanners effectively during order picking and relocation tasks.
  • Participate in forklift training and recertification as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform hands-on inspections of all products, components, and assemblies.
  • Support the development of quality team members.
  • Encourage team motivation to achieve optimal performance.
  • Serve as a technical expert in cable assembly.
  • Meet quality objectives by monitoring daily activities, identifying issues, conducting audits, implementing changes, and providing feedback to the Quality Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with IPC 620 & J STD procedures and processes.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience in an electronic distribution center or a similar environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and shipping software.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions and complete assigned tasks.
  • Capable of working independently, managing multiple tasks, and prioritizing workload.
  • Accurate counting skills and the ability to verify the work of others.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks that may require lifting materials or equipment (up to 50lbs).
