Job Summary

University of Maryland Faculty Physicians is seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team in a part-time capacity. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough medical histories, including allergies, past medical conditions, current medications, and review of systems.
  • Examine patients for symptoms or physical information and order various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images as needed.
  • Analyze report and findings of tests and examination to diagnose patient conditions and prescribe treatments.
  • Administer and prescribe medications, determining dosage and schedule based on patient conditions and allergies.
  • Provide patient education and discuss possible side effects of medication or immunization.
  • Answer patient calls promptly and research, investigate, and resolve patient problems to their satisfaction.

Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Medicine in the area of specialty.
  • ALS/BCLS certification required.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine or eligibility for certification.
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience.
  • Experience with ambulatory EMR preferred.
