A Process Engineer is sought for a pioneering manufacturer specializing in battery cell technology. This organization is at the forefront of energy storage innovation, dedicated to advancing sustainable solutions for an electrified future.
Role Summary:
The selected candidate will be a highly proficient Process Engineer with extensive knowledge of lithium-ion battery cell production methodologies. This role involves the design, enhancement, and maintenance of processes to guarantee the creation of high-quality, safe, and dependable battery cells.
Key Duties:
- Oversee the design, development, and refinement of manufacturing processes for lithium-ion battery cells, encompassing all stages from electrode preparation to final assembly.
- Implement and uphold stringent quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with industry performance and safety benchmarks.
- Collaborate with materials scientists to assess and select appropriate materials for battery components, including electrodes, separators, and electrolytes.
- Identify and propose necessary equipment and tools for battery cell manufacturing, supervising their installation and upkeep.
- Work alongside cross-disciplinary teams to transition manufacturing processes from laboratory to pilot and full-scale production.
- Examine experimental and production data to detect patterns, resolve issues, and execute corrective measures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and environmental standards, taking proactive measures to address safety concerns.
- Engage with a diverse team of scientists and engineers to foster innovation and tackle complex technical challenges.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline (Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D.).
- Demonstrated experience in lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing processes and related equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in data analysis and relevant software tools.
- Familiarity with quality control and statistical process control techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly.
- Dedication to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
