This position encompasses the roles of both LPN and MA, providing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Responsibilities include:
- Adhering to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Delivering clinical support services with professionalism and courtesy.
- Effectively communicating patient conditions and care needs with the healthcare team.
- Accurately documenting patient information and managing appointment scheduling.
- Facilitating seamless communication between clinical and administrative staff.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited institution preferred or valid LPN license in the state.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience in a clinical setting is advantageous.
- Understanding of confidentiality ethics and HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to interact positively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Capability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Current CPR certification or completion of training within a specified timeframe.
- Ability to perceive sounds adequately or with corrections.
- Vision must be sufficient to prepare reports and read documentation.
- Physical stamina for prolonged periods of walking and standing.
- Capacity to lift at least 60 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending and kneeling.
- Fine motor skills necessary for patient care tasks.
- Ability to work in environments with latex exposure.
