Position Summary:

The Radiological Imaging Specialist I is responsible for utilizing radiological imaging equipment to conduct procedures and tests that gather and analyze diagnostic data for patients.

In this role, you will operate within a clinical environment, performing various tasks that support the operational needs of the healthcare team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts radiological imaging procedures in a clinical setting.
  • Interprets imaging requests, collaborating with physicians when necessary to clarify complex orders. Selects suitable imaging protocols based on anatomical knowledge.
  • Engages with patients to assess risk factors that may require further examination for safety.
  • Inputs imaging results into the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and updates Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Assists in facilitating patient visits and collects necessary information.
  • Performs various clinical tasks to support a multidisciplinary healthcare team, which may include assisting with phlebotomy and laboratory tests.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Completion of an accredited Radiological Science program.
  • Registered Radiological Technologist certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy, demonstrated through education or experience.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting radiology orders.
Preferred:
  • Experience with point-of-care testing platforms.
  • Familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
  • Background in a clinical practice setting.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant.
  • Experience with EPIC systems.
