Key Responsibilities:
The Chemical Process Engineer will engage in various design activities, including:
- Development of flowsheets such as block diagrams, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Conducting analyses and calculations, and preparing reports and studies.
- Supporting safety basis documentation and evaluations.
- Performing equipment sizing and layout planning.
- Creating cost estimates and procurement documents.
- Providing testing support and technical assessments of plant systems.
Engineers will be tasked with producing high-quality design packages, offering engineering procurement support, and troubleshooting plant systems. Responsibilities also include preparing conceptual engineering deliverables, such as cost estimates, statements of work, and construction specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Successful completion of drug screening.
- Possession of Q Clearance is necessary.
Location:
This position is based in a secure facility.
Compensation and Benefits:
BGS offers a competitive compensation package, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, paid vacation, 401K, and both long and short-term disability coverage. The salary for this role typically ranges from $96,000 to $165,000 annually, commensurate with experience and geographical location.
