Job Summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cardio is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join their team for a 13-week travel assignment in a dynamic healthcare setting. As a key member of the respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of conditions, including acute respiratory distress syndrome, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and pneumonia.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status, including lung function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, including bronchodilators, corticosteroids, and oxygen therapy.
  • Monitor patients' responses to interventions and report outcomes to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
  • One to three years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment, as well as stand for long periods of time.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ACLS certification preferred.
