Job Title: MRI Technologist Travel Position

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in McKeesport, Pennsylvania.

Job Description:

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. You will also be responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing MRI imaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
  • Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
  • Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment
  • Assist radiologist with procedure performance
  • Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and collate processed images
  • Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
  • Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements:

Must have 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist. Must have BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, and state-specific licensing when required.

MRI Technologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
