  • Deliver tailored instruction across various subjects utilizing specialized educational strategies.
  • Collaborate effectively with general education staff, support personnel, and families to enhance student achievement.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum materials to ensure accessibility for all learners.
  • Continuously assess and monitor student progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional methods.
  • Establish a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student development.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to paraprofessionals and classroom aides.
  • Stay informed about current trends and methodologies in special education to integrate innovative practices into the classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree in Special Education is advantageous.
  • Valid state certification in Special Education is required.

Certifications:

  • State certification in Special Education.
  • Additional credentials in specialized areas of special education (e.g., autism spectrum disorders, emotional and behavioral disorders) are beneficial.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
