Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you'll be responsible for setting up, repairing, servicing, diagnosing, and maintaining Caterpillar diesel-powered construction equipment. You'll work independently, with guidance from service mentors as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and analyze mechanical, hydraulic, and electric schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Provide high-quality repair service on equipment engines
  • Serve customers' needs in a positive, safe, and timely manner
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Diesel engine, construction equipment, and/or truck engine training through an accredited technical school OR relevant military experience preferred
  • 5+ years of previous hands-on relevant experience with CAT equipment or similar industrial equipment and/or industrial engines
  • 5+ years of experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting diesel-powered construction equipment or truck engines
  • Ability to work five-day work schedules and availability to work overtime or weekend hours as required
  • Owns a complete set of basic mechanical hand tools (drives, sockets, and wrenches)
  • Possess and maintain a current, valid state drivers' license
