Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Wellstar Paulding Hospital in Hiram, GA. As an Echo Tech, you will be responsible for performing cardiac imaging procedures, including adult, pediatric, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms. You will work under the direction of the Manager or Chief Technologist and be responsible for the safety and well-being of all patients in the Echo department.

• Perform all cardiac imaging procedures, including adult, pediatric, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms.
• Measure and calculate data according to laboratory protocol.
• Provide written or oral summaries of preliminary findings to the interpreting Physician.
• Ensure patient safety and well-being in the Echo department.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Registration as a Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) and Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARMDM) certifications.
• Minimum 1 year experience in echocardiography.

• Experience in vascular ultrasound.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
