Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist to join our team at the Bureau of the Fiscal Service. As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for desktop hardware and software, as well as coordinating IT security and incident response.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to complex end-user IT incidents, network issues, and service requests, providing prompt and effective solutions.
  • Troubleshoot difficult issues, both individually and as part of a team, to identify variables and possible fixes.
  • Support and maintain all personal computer equipment, printers, digital senders, monitors, laptops, docking stations, and specialized equipment used by various offices throughout the Fiscal Service.
  • Develop end-user IT configuration requirements in consultation with agency staff and vendors.
  • Make recommendations for end-user systems upgrades, augmentation, and replacement.
Requirements
  • One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility at the GS-11 level in the Federal service or equivalent.
  • Experience performing IT customer support work that involves facilitating, planning, and delivering customer support principles and methods, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and communicating IT issues inside and outside the business unit.
  • Proficiency in each of the four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
