Position Overview:
Graham Regional Medical Center is in search of a dedicated Registered Nurse with foundational expertise in perioperative patient management to enhance our surgical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for orchestrating and initiating patient care within the surgical environment, advocating for patients throughout the perioperative journey, and guiding the surgical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe transportation of patients to and from the operating room.
- Verify and maintain accurate documentation and compliance with essential measures.
- Prepare the surgical suite for procedures and assist in post-operative recovery.
- Administer medications, prepare specimens, and uphold sterility during surgical interventions.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in nursing is required; a bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
- Possession of a valid RN license in Texas.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- Preferred one year of nursing experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong time management abilities.
- Capacity to perform under pressure while maintaining high levels of patient interaction.

- Walking: 80% of the time.
- Standing: 80% of the time.
- Reaching: 50% of the time.
- Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs: 25% of the time.
Mental Requirements:
- Moderate to high stress levels are expected.
