We are seeking a highly skilled Medical ICU Nurse to join our team at MelroseWakefield Hospital. As a Medical ICU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to adult geriatric patients who require a secure setting.
Unit Summary:Our West 1 and South 1 units are 18-bed and 16-bed, locked, DPH and DMH licensed units that specialize in the care of adult geriatric patients who require a secure setting. Staff will float between the two units, providing treatment for psychiatric diagnoses including major depression, bi-polar illness, schizophrenia, personality disorders, psychotic episodes related to the diagnosis of dementia, pain anxiety/disorders, substance abuse, etc.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care to adult geriatric patients who require a secure setting.
- Float between the West 1 and South 1 units, providing treatment for psychiatric diagnoses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in psychiatric care.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Current RN licensure in Massachusetts.
- At least 12 months of experience in psychiatric or geriatric nursing.
- Ability to work day/evening rotations, including every third weekend.
- 403(b) retirement plan with company match for eligible employees.
