We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Applications Specialist to join our team at Saint-Gobain. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative products.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the development of new products through design phase and machine trials, ensuring seamless transition to routine production.
- Research and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Provide technical guidance to manufacturing teams and customers, including direct visits as needed.
- Perform technical evaluations of vendors and equipment, generating justifications for new processes and methods.
- Collaborate with Process Engineering to review customer special requirements and develop tailored processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Applications or Mechanical Engineering, or a similar capacity in a Manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to design, manage, and implement projects of a technical nature.
- Strong analytical thinking skills and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks or related applications.
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time for sales and development support.
