Job Title: Tax Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Project Manager to join our team at NextEra Energy, Inc. This role will be responsible for managing tax-related projects, including system maintenance and development, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our income tax provision and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage tax-related projects, including system maintenance and development
  • Prepare and/or review tax returns and corresponding tax work papers and files
  • Research and analyze tax laws, regulations, and court cases to minimize tax liabilities
  • Partner with the Tax Forecasting team to identify and explain variances from forecast to actual
  • Lead project teams to improve quality, efficiency, predictability, and transparency
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 6+ years of experience in tax management or a related field
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Corptax, OneSource Tax Provision, and SAP
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
