- Provide high-quality dental hygiene care to patients, including prophylaxis, oral cancer screening, and radiographic studies.
- Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, seating, and draping them.
- Provide information and education to patients and colleagues, answering questions and requests.
- Maintain instrumentation and equipment for dental hygiene treatment, sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments as needed.
- Select materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits, evaluating patients' oral health and selecting the best options.
- Complete dental prophylaxis, cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins.

- Arrest dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents.
- Active dental hygiene license in PA.
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral health care practices.
