Role Overview
This position is essential for delivering therapeutic recreation services and conducting assessments as directed by medical professionals. You will be a vital member of a multidisciplinary team focused on promoting wellness and aiding patient recovery.
Qualifications
Required:
- National Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or California Recreation Therapist Certificate (RTC).
- Certification in HeartSaver AED and crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician directives.
- Create and manage recreational activity programs for patients.
- Ensure timely documentation and adherence to departmental productivity standards.
- Monitor environmental conditions within the therapy services area.
Additional Duties
- Assist in formulating policies, procedures, and budget considerations.
- Support the orientation of new staff members.
- Engage in professional development through continuing education and participation in professional organizations.
- Contribute to the employee evaluation process through peer reviews as needed.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, the community, and external organizations.
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient understanding of relevant treatments and therapies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families, considering their diverse cultural, linguistic, spiritual, gender, and age-specific needs.
Compensation
Pay Range: $25.28 - $37.92
