Certification Requirements- BLS: Basic Life Support Certification
- AART: Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- AART Advanced Certification: Preferred for advanced imaging techniques
- State License: Must possess a valid MD License
- Additional certifications may be required based on specific unit needs
- Perform CT scan procedures utilizing established protocols and techniques.
- Review patient requisitions for completeness, ensuring accurate patient identification and exam descriptions.
- Adjust imaging equipment and select appropriate technical parameters to achieve optimal radiographic exposure.
- Utilize standard positioning methods to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Choose suitable protocols for each CT examination, ensuring proper density and contrast levels for image quality.
- Conduct scanning of various anatomical regions to identify pathological conditions.
- Complete examinations efficiently, managing IV and oral contrast orders through the electronic health record system.
- Document contrast administration and imaging results accurately in the system.
- Ensure timely completion of exams, including necessary screenings and consent forms.
- Required experience includes: abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, brain perfusion, CT angiography, and multiplanar reconstruction.
- Preferred experience in: aspirations/biopsies, colography, CT arthrography, drainage procedures, myelography, transplant studies, and PET/CT imaging.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CT imaging.
- Required certifications: BLS, AART, AART Advanced Certification.
- Possession of a valid MD License is mandatory.
- Experience in specified anatomical regions and imaging techniques is essential.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in advanced imaging procedures.
This position operates on a day shift schedule, specifically Friday through Sunday.
Unit Specific InformationExperience in specialized scans and procedures relevant to the radiology and cardiology unit is essential.
Additional InformationRequired documentation includes W4, I9, Direct Deposit Authorization, Emergency Contact Form, EOE Forms, and E-Verify documentation specifically for the Crisis Response system. Certain facility-specific documents must be reviewed and signed.
