Job Summary

The Department Head position at Gillman Home Center is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and ensuring a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate product information and excellent customer service to customers.
  • Supervise and maintain a clean and organized department, ensuring inventory is properly stocked and faced.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory levels, ordering products as needed and completing purchase orders and related paperwork.
  • Complete cycle counts and update prices as assigned.
  • Assist with opening and closing the store, as well as performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • 1+ years of retail job experience.
  • 2+ years of product knowledge of items in assigned department.
