Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough quality inspections on incoming materials and finished goods, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and internal standards.
Blueprint & Sales Order Interpretation:
Accurately interpret sales orders, shop drawings, and blueprints to ensure precise manufacturing of products.
Tool & Equipment Operation:
Proficiently operate specialized tools, computers, and printers, while maintaining detailed records of inspections and product quality.
Issue Reporting & Follow-Up:
Notify the Quality Control Manager of any quality concerns and ensure timely and effective corrective actions are taken.
Leadership:
Facilitate weekly Quality Control Floor meetings in the absence of the Quality Control Manager, offering guidance and support to the inspection team.
Inspection & Testing:
Perform various quality inspection tests on both incoming materials and finished products, documenting results and authorizing storage or further processing.
Visual Inspection:
Execute comprehensive visual inspections of finished products to verify compliance with customer specifications and internal standards.
Production Communication:
Relay necessary production adjustments to ensure quality standards are met, implementing changes when specifications are not fulfilled.
Lean Manufacturing Tools:
Apply and promote lean manufacturing methodologies such as 5S, WPO, Visual Management, and Continuous Improvement to enhance efficiency and quality.
QA Auditing:
Develop and implement a QA auditing framework to ensure standardized work processes are consistently applied across all shifts.
RMA Processing:
Manage RMA processes efficiently, coordinating with relevant departments and customers to ensure prompt and accurate resolutions.
Root Cause Analysis:
Perform detailed root cause analysis on quality issues and enact corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
Sample Management:
Collect, label, and archive production samples, ensuring all quality and inspection documentation is accurately maintained, both physically and electronically.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Uphold and advocate for safety standards in accordance with Miller Edge Health & Safety Regulations, fostering a secure and organized work environment.
Environmental Maintenance:
Ensure a clean and organized workspace throughout the facility, adhering to 5S principles.
Flexibility & Adaptability:
Adjust to changing production schedules and be willing to work overtime as necessary to meet customer demands.
Communication:
Act as a liaison for RMA-related matters, ensuring effective communication between customers and internal teams.
Continuous Improvement:
Actively identify opportunities for enhancement within the quality control processes and contribute to ongoing improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing quality control role, with hands-on experience using testing equipment and measuring instruments.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong ability to read and understand shop drawings, measure accurately, and operate weight scales.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with fast and accurate data entry capabilities.
Communication & Teamwork:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
