Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Audit production QC inspections and data to ensure compliance with cGMP regulations.
  • Verify and sign off on production testing records to guarantee accuracy.
  • Perform raw material and packaging receiving verifications to prevent contamination.
  • Conduct finished product reviews to ensure quality meets our standards.
  • Prepare customer samples and swab samples for shipment to meet customer expectations.
  • Support production in maintaining quality product at standard efficiency.
  • Train shift staff on food quality and food safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Participate in equipment cleanliness inspections at product changeover, including ATP testing.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections prior to weekly start-up to ensure readiness.
  • Identify, tag, and segregate nonconforming items to prevent them from entering the production process.
  • Complete customer information requests and update customer records to maintain accurate information.
  • Advise on immediate quality hold dispositions to resolve issues quickly.
  • Audit production and sanitation procedures for compliance with documented procedures.
  • Perform scheduled GMP Inspections and Glass & Brittle Plastic Inspections to maintain quality control.
  • Complete complaint investigations, facility, and product inspections, and document revisions as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma; college training in math or science preferred.
  • One (1) plus years in a laboratory or related inspection work.
  • Experience in a production/manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Eugene products and production processes knowledge.
  • CFR Title 21 Part 110 (current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in manufacturing, packaging, and holding of Human Food) expertise.
  • Food Safety principles application in production, e.g., HACCP, cGMP, Allergen Control.
  • Observation skills for variance detection.
  • Mastery of simple mathematical calculations.
  • Attention to detail in work performance and documentation.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Diplomatic communication with all staff.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
  • Lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally.

Drug screen and background check required for this position.
