We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Solano County. As a Mental Health Clinician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to our clients.

Job Summary:

The Mental Health Clinician will be responsible for conducting initial psychosocial assessments for children, youth, and adults requesting new mental health services. This will involve gathering information to determine a preliminary diagnosis and determine the level of care required. The clinician will also support care coordination of new and current clients transitioning across levels of care, while gathering relevant clinical and service information and documentation for discharge plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial psychosocial assessments for clients
  • Determine preliminary diagnosis and level of care required
  • Support care coordination of clients transitioning across levels of care
  • Gather relevant clinical and service information and documentation for discharge plans
  • Develop strong collaboration with the Access line team and community partners
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a field of study approved by the California State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners
  • Acceptance by the California State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners as a candidate for licensure (registered intern/associate) as either a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFTI) or Associate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (ALCSW)
  • Current licensure by the State of California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners as either a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
Working Conditions:

The Mental Health Clinician will work in an out-station location or in a setting with other professionals integrated as a team. Some positions may require bilingual skills.
