Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing personnel on a specific shift
  • Assess staffing and resident needs, and direct care accordingly
  • Work with an adult geriatric population, providing safe, effective, and efficient nursing care
  • Serve as a role model for staff, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department, ensuring efficient unit operations
  • Interface with other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth, maintaining clinical competency and expertise

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university (strongly preferred)
  • 1-3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills (a plus)
  • Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or skilled nursing facility
  • Current CPR certification
