Overview of the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Food Safety Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are met.

About the Job

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead our Food Safety and Quality Assurance Program, driving continuous improvements to our food manufacturing processes. You will oversee all aspects of our program, including HACCP, GMP, Kosher, Allergen Testing, FSMA PCQI, Food Processing, Regulatory Compliance, Sanitation, and Food Microbiology.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Food Safety and Quality Assurance Program to ensure compliance with all regulatory, customer, and internal requirements.
  • Overseeing the HACCP Program, ensuring all critical control points are identified and monitored.
  • Managing the GMP Program, ensuring all employees are trained and compliant.
  • Overseeing Kosher and Allergen Testing Programs, ensuring all products meet necessary requirements.
  • Managing the FSMA PCQI Program, ensuring all preventive controls are identified and implemented.
  • Overseeing Food Processing Operations, ensuring all processes are optimized for safety and quality.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Overseeing Sanitation Operations, ensuring all areas of the facility are clean and sanitary.
  • Managing the Food Microbiology Program, ensuring all products are safe for consumption.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance food safety and quality.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve any food safety or quality issues.
  • Conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with all food safety and quality requirements.
  • Providing training and guidance to employees on food safety and quality assurance practices.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Kosher, Allergen Testing, FSMA PCQI, Food Processing, Regulatory Compliance, Sanitation, and Food Microbiology.
  • Certified in HACCP, GMP, and FSMA PCQI.
  • Proven experience in managing food safety and quality assurance programs.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
What We Offer
