Job Overview

At GrowTech Industries, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by conducting inspections and tests at various stages of the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain inspection reports to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications.
  • Maintain calibration of quality control equipment to ensure accurate results.
  • Perform inspections across all stages of production to identify areas for quality control improvement.
  • Prepare and maintain test data for review and evaluation.
  • Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards.
  • Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency to ensure timely resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned by the QA Manager.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Solid understanding of measuring, inspection and test equipment.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience in the metals fabrication industry.
  • Visual weld and welding inspection experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel.
  • Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and fabrication drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector - CWI.
